Your trainer is licensed, qualified and experienced. Qualifications include:

Your Apply first aid qualification is nationally recognised under the Nationally Recognised Training programme (NRT).

Your Apply first aid qualification allows you to request the title, and perform the duties, of First Aid Officer at your workplace. This may include first aid treatment and supervising the first aid kit/s (does not include supervision of a First Aid Room). You may even be entitled to a paid allowance under your employment award, with possible increases upon each new State Wage Case.

Your Apply first aid qualification is issued by the relevant Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and will be posted directly to you after successful course completion. It is valid for three years and includes a complimentary certified copy, signed by your trainer who is also a Justice of the Peace (JP).

Your enrolment fee includes the following resources:

  • a first aid workbook which must be completed prior to the course (to be marked at the course). It will be posted to you on the next working day following receipt of your enrolment fee. (Please allow approximately 6 hours to complete)
  • a first aid textbook (posted following receipt of your payment)
  • a triangular bandage (collect at your course)
  • a roller bandage (collect at your course)

A person will not be admitted to a course (or the premises of the course venue) unless the following has been fulfilled –

  • the full amount of the enrolment fee has been paid, in advance, to First Aid Tailor Made
  • said amount has been paid via a payment method accepted (and listed on the Payment page of this website) by First Aid Tailor Made
  • said amount has been received by First Aid Tailor Made prior to the date of the course (as determined by First Aid Tailor Made on the Payment page of this website)
  • proof of identification (driver's licence, Medicare card, TAFE card, or similar) is provided at the commencement of the course
  • any theory component pre-requisite (eg. first aid workbook) has been fully completed prior to the date of the course and provided to First Aid Tailor Made for marking at the commencement of the course.

This REFRESHER course is now identical in every way to the abovementioned Apply first aid course. You do not need to produce your previous first aid certificate to attend any course. When you enrol, simply choose the Apply first aid enrolment option.

Emergency Asthma Management Awareness

This workshop is not a nationally recognised course but is conducted by your First Aid trainer who is also a licensed Asthma Friendly Schools trainer with the Asthma Foundation NSW.

Upon completion of this 3 hour workshop, you will receive a Statement of Attendance from First Aid Tailor Made.

It comprises a two hour core module on Asthma Awareness, plus a one hour target module tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals or an organisation, from one of the following:

  • Asthma in Sport
  • Asthma in Schools
  • Asthma & the Child
  • Asthma & the Older Person
  • Asthma in the Workplace

Customised Training

First Aid Tailor Made provides customised training to -

  • individuals (in a "public course" with individual customisation in a group setting)
  • businesses (an exclusively customised course in a group setting)

Industry Mechanical Engineering
Workplace motor mechanic workshop
Tasks engine re-builds; suspension upgrades; air-conditioning, etc.
Risks address and prioritise specific risks with detailed customisation, eg. lacerations, chemical inhalations, electrical emergencies, burns, crush injuries, soft tissue injuries, fractures, respiratory emergencies, working in hot & cold environments, etc.

Specialising in customised training for: All Trades, Childcare, Aged Care, Hospitality, Fitness, Health & Medical, Manufacturing, Agriculture, etc.

Daytime courses are currently conducted on weekdays and Saturdays. Evening courses are currently conducted on Mondays and Wednesdays. All courses are delivered subject to minimum and maximum participant numbers.

Statement of Attainment

Successful completion of an accredited course provides you with the relevant Statement of Attainment (and a complimentary copy which is certified by the owner of First Aid Tailor Made, who is also a Justice of the Peace), usually within seven days. A complimentary reminder is also issued just prior to qualification expiry. Participants in a non-accredited course receive a Statement of Attendance from First Aid Tailor Made following course completion.

Qualification

Venue

Training can be conducted at Dural Training Venue (near Castle Hill), in the Conference/Seminar Room at your workplace or at various other venues. Site reports and photos of available venues are provided on request. First Aid Tailor Made is fully insured.
